One of the interesting things to come out of his just concluded town hall meeting in Shanghai was US President Barack Obama’s admission: “I have never used Twitter”.

Obama casually divulged this while answering a question about the Great Firewall of China in this historic town meeting between the US president and Chinese students, which was livestreamed by the White House, with a discussion on Facebook via Facebook Connect.

Manny Pacquiao not only made history Sunday as the first boxer to win seven world championships in seven weight classes, but the Filipino regarded as the world’s best pound for pound fighter also ruled cyberspace.

As I blogged yesterday while live tweeting the Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto encounter, Manny Pacquiao became the top Twitter Trending Topic along with several other Pacquiao-related keywords.

Like many Filipino Internet users, I’m online now sharing updates on the Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto: Firepower boxing clash on social networks such as Twitter. As you might expect, the number of people tweeting about Pacquiao has made the world’s best pound for pound boxer a Top Trending Topic, namely his nickname, Pacman.

In fact, I’m watching the boxing card right now via Smart 3G on my Nokia N82 while blogging this and tweeting updates.
