Once more attesting to the fact that social media can be used for socially relevant causes, Yahoo! Philippines has tapped Flickr to create an online photo database of missing persons.

This initiative aims to help families find their loved ones who are still missing as a result of the floods spawned by the typhoons that recently devastated the Philippines, Ondoy (international codename: Ketsana) and Pepeng (Parma).

Quezon III compiling information for those who want to help, to this TXTPower drive for donations via PayPal, to the Google Ondoy landing page that was created to help the typhoon victims, online efforts to share information and provide help dominated Philippine cyberspace.
