Welcome to 2009!

Happy New Year, everyone!

It’s my first post for 2009, and I just want to wish everyone a great year ahead — here’s hoping that all our dreams will come true in 2009.

I’d also like to thank my wife Ellen and daughter Sam for all the love they’ve given and continue to give me. It’s been a year of ups and downs, but we’re grateful for all the blessings we’ve received in 2008 and the fact that we’re always here for each other.

I’m looking forward to a great year, and one of the things I’m telling myself is to have more fun in 2009. As Ellen always reminds me, we have to live in the moment and be thankful for what we have, instead of always thinking of what we don’t have. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and an OC, but at some point you have to be willing to let go and become less of a control freak, and just learn to enjoy life more :)

Here are some pics of Sam’s new ‘do and her stay at the Edsa Shangri-La hotel, where we spent New Year’s Eve.

Here’s Sam at the hair salon.

Sam posing in front of the Nativity scene at the hotel lobby.

And Sam having breakfast at Heat.

I’ll post the photos and videos from our Singapore trip soon.

Let’s make 2009 a great year!

Nope, Sam wasn’t going to a pajama party when I took these pics.

Their class had a poetry reading session, and their teacher wanted them to wear pajamas as their costumes.
