The dancing inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center maximum security prison are back with a tribute to Michael Jackson, who died of cardiac arrest on Friday at the age of 50.

In 2007, these inmates of a maximum security prison in the Philippine province of Cebu became an instant Internet sensation with the viral video of them dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. “Thriller”, which as of this writing has generated over 23 million views on YouTube, was such a hit that it received mainstream coverage in the Philippines and abroad, even landing in the pages of Time magazine as one of the Top 10 Viral Videos of the year.

Now, the latest footage of the inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center is online, as over a thousand prisoners dance in unison to the song “Jai Ho” from the movie “Slumdog Millionaire”.
