Sam usually wants to ride on a horse, but maybe she was waxing nostalgic today ‘coz she chose the elephant instead. The elephant was her favorite when she was younger, after upgrading from her beloved swan.

I took Sam to her favorite mall after school. Here she is on the carousel, reaching out to touch one of the horsies.

Sam got two stars in school today — one for being the first to correctly identify the color red and another for being the first to finish coloring this page in their workbook. Not a bad artistic effort from a girl who’s 3 1/2 years old. I joked that she should get SpongeBob’s good noodle stars.
